Thimphu Sightseeing
Explore Bhutan’s capital, Thimphu, and visit important landmarks such as Memorial Chorten, Buddha Dordenma Statue, and Tashichho Dzong.

Punakha Dzong
Visit the Punakha Dzong, one of Bhutan’s most beautiful fortresses, nestled at the confluence of the Pho and Mo rivers, and learn about Bhutan’s rich history and architecture.

Phobjikha Valley
Trek through the serene and picturesque Phobjikha Valley, famous for its breathtaking landscapes and the black-necked cranes that migrate there in winter.

Itinerary

On arrival at Paro International Airport, you will be met by your guide and transferred to Thimphu. After checking into your hotel, you will proceed to visit the Memorial Chorten, a stupa built in memory of the 3rd King of Bhutan. Continue your tour with a visit to the Buddha Dordenma Statue, offering panoramic views of the Thimphu valley.
Overnight at Thimphu | Altitude: 2,300m

Today, you will explore Thimphu, Bhutan’s vibrant capital. Visit Tashichho Dzong, the administrative headquarters of Bhutan, and the National Folk Heritage Museum. Explore the School of Arts and Crafts to discover Bhutanese art forms and continue your cultural journey with visits to the National Library and Changangkha Lhakhang temple.
Overnight at Thimphu | Altitude: 2,300m

Drive to Punakha, the former capital of Bhutan, through the scenic Dochula Pass (3,100m). On a clear day, enjoy views of the Himalayas before continuing down to Punakha, located in the subtropical valley.
Overnight at Punakha | Altitude: 1,350m

Today, drive to the beautiful Phobjikha Valley, home to the rare black-necked cranes that migrate here during the winter months. Explore the quiet valley and visit the Gangtey Monastery.
Overnight at Phobjikha | Altitude: 3,000m

Drive back to Punakha and visit the stunning Punakha Dzong, located at the confluence of the Pho and Mo rivers. The dzong is a perfect example of Bhutanese architecture and culture.
Overnight at Punakha | Altitude: 1,350m

Drive from Punakha to Paro, known for its beautiful landscapes and significant cultural sites. Check into your hotel and relax.
Overnight at Paro | Altitude: 2,200m

Take a scenic drive to the Haa Valley, a beautiful hidden gem in Bhutan. Visit the Haa Dzong and explore the peaceful countryside before returning to Paro for the evening.

Today, hike to the famous Taktsang Monastery (Tiger’s Nest), perched on a cliff 900 meters above the Paro Valley. Enjoy spectacular views of the valley as you ascend. Afterward, visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the oldest temples in Bhutan.
